Warsaw Noon Toastmasters Club Congratulates Member
WARSAW — The Warsaw Noon Toastmasters club congratulates Peter Liao, ACS, ALB for completing his Advanced Communicator Gold in Toastmasters. In order to earn this credit, Peter has given over 40 speeches.
Peter is a research scientist at DePuy Synthes. He has a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering with expertise in Tribology, a study of friction, wear and lubrication. He joined Toastmasters in March 2004, to help him communicate more effectively with his research team and improve his podium presentations skill at the orthopedic conferences.
Since Peter has joined Toastmasters, he’s received his Advanced Communicator Silver award and Advanced Leader Bronze award and has served as club president, secretary and vice president of education. He recently took the second place award in the Toastmaster’s District International contest with his speech titled, “What do Robbing a Casino and Leading a Basketball Team Have in Common?”
Peter said, “I finally found a place where I can speak for 5-7 minutes without being interrupted by people who provide me with a stage to express my ideas, but also allow me to prepare for the work and life challenges in communication.”
