WARSAW — Six local establishments were awarded alcohol license renewals and two were granted permit transfers during the monthly meeting of the Kosciusko County Alcoholic Beverage Commission Thursday, April 7. One business was denied a permit.

Approved for license renewal were:

• Wawasee Golf Club, 12388 N. Bishop Road, Syracuse
• The Great Wall, 2308 E. Center St., Warsaw
• Kmart, 1200 Lake City Highway, Warsaw
• Pizza King, 10406 S. SR 15, Warsaw
• Pizza King, 719 S. Huntington St., Syracuse
• Downton Eatery and Spirits, 205 W. Center St., Warsaw

Receiving approval for license transfers were:

• El Cielo Restaurant and Bar, 502 E. Winona Ave., Warsaw
• George’s Pub LLC, 204 E. State St., Etna Green

El Cielo Restaurant and Bar also received approval for a new beer, wine and liquor license.

Only Phillips 66 Convenience Store, 2518 E. Center St., Warsaw, was denied for a permit.
