Warsaw Rugby Continues Strong Start
WARSAW – Warsaw Rugby celebrated another successful scrimmage at the University of St. Francis as well as in South Bend.
The boys finished 2-0-1 during their scrimmage at University of St. Francis. The team won two games, scoring 20-10 against Homestead; 20-0 against Bishop Dwenger; and tying with Angola 0-0.
The girls continued their penchant for victory during their scrimmage in South Bend. Warsaw B scored 58-0 against Lakewood B, Ohio; Warsaw A scored 39-10 against Penn; Warsaw B scored 56-0 against Penn B; Warsaw A scored 46-10 against Lakewood A, Ohio.
The Warsaw girls team scored 199 points and only gave up 20 the entire day.
Warsaw Rugby was recently invited to compete in the national competition in St. Louis on May 20. The team is coached by Trevor Cracknell.
