Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accident:
8:19 p.m. Thursday, March 17, SR 15 and Southwood Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Jonathan S. Hopkins, 20, North SR 14, Akron. Hopkins vehicle went off the road and struck a NIPSCO pole. He was transported to Lutheran Hospital with a leg injury. Damage up to 25,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
7:48 p.m. Thursday, March 17, North Lincoln Street and East Center Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Molly R. Woodling, 19, Hartzler Street, Warsaw, and Sheila Aguilar, 48, North Second Street, Leesburg. Woodling was unable to stop for a traffic light, hitting the Aguilar vehicle in the intersection. Damage up to $25,000.
5:30 p.m. Thursday, March 17, East Center Street, west of North Lincoln Street, Warsaw. Driver: Karley Z. Miller, 19, Trailside Drive, Winona Lake. Miller’s vehicle struck a vehicle in front of her. Both drivers looked at their respective vehicles before leaving. Miller later found more damage than she thought and notified police. Damage up to $2,500.
10:15 a.m. Thursday, March 17, Lake City Highway, east of South CR 250E, Warsaw. Driver: William B. Federico, 31, Chicago Avenue, Chicago, Ill. Federico was in the right lane and after crossing through the intersection a semitractor started to pass him. The rear tires of the semitractor crossed over into his lane hitting his vehicle. He pulled over and stopped, but the semitractor driver never stopped. Damage up to $10,000.
9:14 a.m. Thursday, March 17, East Center Street and North Buffalo Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Janet E. Johnson, 66, Ivywood Drive, Warsaw and Mercedes L. Miller, 22, West CR 200S, Warsaw. Johnson turned in front of the Miller vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
