Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
11:09 p.m. Monday, March 14, East Levi Lee Road, west of North Old SR 15, Leesburg. Terri L. Stump, 58, North Oakwood Drive, Warsaw. Struck a raccoon. Damage up to $5,000.
11:08 p.m. Sunday, March 13, North SR 15, south of West CR 600N, Warsaw. Driver: Abigail E. Rees, 26, North Dolan Drive, Syracuse. Hit deer. Damage up to $2,500.
2:28 p.m. Sunday, March 13, North Detroit Street and Lake City Highway, Warsaw. Drivers: Phillip M. Hawks, 28, East Fort Wayne Street, Warsaw,and Jeanine T. Divaccaro, 52, South SR 25, Warsaw. Hawks complained of pain to the head. Divaccaro complained of pain to the left hand and some neck pain. A passenger in the Divaccaro vehicle, Francesca T. Divaccaro, 20, South SR 25, Warsaw, complained of pain to the knee. The Divaccaros were taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital. Hawks was checked by paramedics at the scene and taken to MedState. Hawks was responding to an emergency call with lights and sirens activated and thought Divaccaros had seen his vehicle entering the intersection, realizing at the last minute, she had not seen his vehicle. Damage up to $50,000.
7:42 p.m. Saturday, March 12, East CR 900S, east of South CR 700E, Sidney. Police were called to an accident where no driver was around. Police determined a vehicle, registered to Curtis B. Collins, South Monroe Drive, Warsaw, reportedly was westbound on CR 900S and left the roadway. Damage up to $5,000.
7:35 p.m. Saturday, March 12, SR 15, south of South Rowland, Leesburg. Driver: Kenneth L. Riley, 50, CR 48, Nappanee. Riley’s vehicle hit an unknown object in the roadway causing it to flip up and hit the side of his vehicle. Damage under $750.
10:27 a.m. Saturday, March 12, Wooster Road, Warsaw. Driver: Arthur E. Clark, 61, North Scott Street, Warsaw. Clark was backing his vehicle, hitting a parked vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
11:09 a.m. Friday, March 11, North CR 900E and East CR 500N, North Webster. Drivers: Deborah D. Wolf 67, North CR 300E, Leesburg, and Brian A. Edsall, 50, South CR 725W, Kimmell. Wolf backed her vehicle at the intersection to give a turning vehicle more room, backing into the Edsall vehicle. Damage up to $1,000.
Silver Lake
Officers with the Silver Lake Police Department investigated the following accident:
7:30 p.m. Sunday, March 13, County Farm Road and CR 300S, Warsaw. Driver: Burley L. Adams, 67, South Edgewater Drive, Silver Lake. Hit a flying goose. Damage up to $2,500.
Syracuse
Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accidents:
Midnight, Friday, March 11, East Fairway Drive, Syracuse. Driver: Marli K. Leach, 27, East Fairway Drive, Syracuse. Leach was backing out of her driveway and backed into a vehicle parked in her driveway, registered to Syracuse Police Department, Syracuse. Damage up to $1,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
7:23 a.m. Monday, March 14, Country Club Road, south of Country Club Drive South, Warsaw. Drivers: Jimmy D. Horne, 55, South Country Club Road, Warsaw, and Devin C. McFadden, 22, Country Club Road, Warsaw. Horne’s vehicle struck the front of the McFadden vehicle, which was backing a trailer into a driveway. Damage up to $2,500.
6:36 p.m. Sunday, March 13, West Sycamore Road, east of North Sellers Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: David A. Blake, 49, West 250S, Warsaw, and Zenaida Loyola, 48, West Sycamore Road, Warsaw. Blake’s vehicle struck the back of the Loyola vehicle. Blake was cited for driving while suspended. Damage up to $1,000.
