Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
7:30 a.m. Sunday, March 13, South SR 19, south of West CR 500S, Mentone. Driver: Roger L. Busz, 63, West CR 900S, Silver Lake. Busz lost control of his vehicle on wet pavement, went off the road and down into a ditch and back onto the road. He requested to be examined due to his high blood pressure. Damage up to $2,500.
4:50 p.m. Friday, March 11, West Crystal Lake Road, and South CR 800W, Warsaw. Driver: William K. Shipman, 64, South Redwood Road, Warsaw. Shipman’s vehicle struck a guide wire on an REMC pole. He was transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital for a diabetic reaction. Damage: $1,000.
2:27 p.m. Thursday, March 10, North SR 15, north of West Levi Lee Road, Warsaw. Driver: Scott A. Dausman, 59, East CR 550N, Leesburg. Dausman pulled into a ditch to prevent colliding into another vehicle. When he tried to pull out, he collided with a utility pole, the vehicle then rolled onto its side. Damage up to: $25,000.
North Webster
Officers with the North Webster Police Department investigated the following accidents:
11:43 a.m. Saturday, March 12, North SR 13, north of West Crystal Flash Road, North Webster. Drivers: Raymond T. Escamilla, 22, South East Street, North Webster, and Kay E. Ridenour, 59, Willow Creek Drive, Mishawaka. Escamilla’s vehicle struck the back of the Ridenour vehicle. Escamilla was cited for operator unlicensed in Indiana. Damage up to $5,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
1:03 a.m. Monday, March 14, East Center Street, Warsaw. Driver: Jessica J. Jenkins, 24, Old Colony Road, Warsaw. Jenkins thought she felt something on her leg, looked down to see what it was, while driving and struck a pole in the Owens parking lot. Damage up to $2,500.
11:37 a.m. Sunday, March 13, Alley, north of West Pike Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Brook S. Earhart, 25, North West Street, Warsaw, and Shawndra D. Gaylor, 38, East Levi Lee Road, Warsaw. Earhart was backing her vehicle from a parking lot into the alley failing to see the Gaylor vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
3:24 p.m. Saturday, March 12, Lake City Highway, Warsaw. Drivers: William A. Stufflebeam, 59, CR 14, Goshen, and Debbie L. Woodward, 52, West Bumblebee Boulevard, Claypool. Stufflebeam failed to see the Woodward vehicle while backing from a parking spot. Damage up to $2,500.
