Robert ‘Bob’ Lewis Leamon
Robert “Bob” Lewis Leamon, age 70, of Cromwell passed away unexpectedly, on Thursday morning, March 10, 2016, at home.
He was born in Noble County on Jan. 29, 1946, the son of Lloyd D. and Catherine E. (Calbeck) Leamon.
He is survived by four siblings: Joseph Leamon and Sherman (Juliet) Leamon both of Syracuse; Mellissa Leamon of Cromwell; and Beverly (Jim) Moseman of Syracuse; a brother-in-law, Leeman Ward Jr.; 15 nieces and nephews and countless friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Cynthia Ward; a niece: Laura Leamon; and a nephew: Chad Leamon.
Bob was truly a community servant who dedicated his life to the community. He served 41 consecutive years as the clerk treasurer of Cromwell as well as 44 years on Sparta Township Fire Dept.
In addition to his service to the community he worked at Johnson Controls for over 30 years before retirement. He was a dedicated member of the Cromwell United Methodist Church, Cromwell Masonic Lodge No. 705, Cromwell-Kimmell Lions Club, Scottish Rite, and Shriners. He was well respected and dearly loved.
A funeral service in Bob’s honor will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 15, at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South Ligonier. Celebrant Larry Baker will officiate. Burial will follow at Sparta Cemetery in Kimmell.
Family and friends will be received from 3-8 p.m. Monday, March 14, at Yeager Funeral Home.
