McKinstray Arrested For Plymouth Armed Robbery
PLYMOUTH — Armed robbery charges have been filed against Raquan Charles McKinstray, 17, South Bend, for a Feb. 29, armed robbery in Plymouth.
Plymouth Det. Sgt. Leo Mangus located and arrested McKinstry on March 9, in South Bend. He is being held in the Marshall County Jail on a bond of $50,000 cash.
Plymouth Police received a 911 call around 8:36 p.m. Monday, Feb. 29, regarding an armed robbery that had taken place a short time earlier on the north side of Plymouth. The suspects had already left the area.
Officers met with the victim and witnesses at McDonalds and learned the victim had located someone online who was selling a cell phone. Arrangements were made to meet the seller in Plymouth, near the Sears store, to make the transaction. Money was taken from the victim while at gun point.
The suspects then left northbound on Michigan Street in a red Chevrolet PT Cruiser, with a dent in the driver’s side. A black female, approximately 25-30 years old was driving and a black male, 25-30 years old displayed the handgun. A black male teenager also participated in the robbery.
The investigation by Plymouth Police Department is continuing.
