Freeman E. Miller
Freeman E. Miller, age 79, of Nappanee, died at 10:30 pm, Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at his residence after an extended illness. He was born June 16, 1936 in Topeka to Edward and Lizzie (Miller) Miller. He married Mary Ellen Schrock January 1, 1957 in Middlebury.
Freeman had lived in Nappanee for 30 years. He was part owner of Quality Hardwood in Nappanee. He was also a member of Bethel Conservative Mennonite Church. For 13 years, the Millers went to Florida during the winter and while there they attended Palm Grove Mennonite Church.
Freeman is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen; daughters, Darlene May (Dave) Mishler, Wakarusa; Donita Fay Miller, Diane Kay (Elmer) Yoder, both of Nappanee; Deralyn Ranay (Mike) Tolson, Syracuse; 9 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; one sister and three brothers. He was preceded in death by five siblings.
Family and friends may call from 5-8 pm, Thursday, March 3, and 2-4 and 6-8 pm, Friday, March 4, at Bethel Conservative Mennonite Church (25402 CR 50), where funeral services will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 5. Pastors Lyle Miller and Calvin Yoder will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to Bethel Conservative Mennonite Church Mission Fund.
