Warsaw At No. 5 In Final Coaches Poll
The Warsaw boys basketball team checks in at No. 5 in the final Coaches’ Association poll for the 2015-16 campaign.
The Tigers capped off an outstanding regular season run at 21-1 after rallying late for a 32-29 victory at Carroll Friday night.
Warsaw will face either Penn or Northridge on Friday night at 6 p.m. in a semifinal game of the Class 4-A Elkhart Sectional at North Side Gym. Penn meets Northridge Tuesday night in the sectional opener at Elkhart.
NorthWood squeezed its way into the final spot at No. 20 in the last poll. The Panthers, whose lone conference loss was to Warsaw, are 20-2. NorthWood will face West Noble Tuesday night at 6 p.m. in the opening game of the Class 3-A NorthWood Sectional.
South Bend Riley sits at No. 16 in the IBCA poll. The Wildcats, who are 19-5, play LaPorte Tuesday night at 7 p.m. in the Class 4-A Plymouth Sectional.
