Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
10:33 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 18, East CR 450N and North CR 175E, Warsaw. Drivers: Tabitha P. Tucker, 19, North CR 100E, Warsaw, and Cameran M. Carver, 24, West Walnut Street, Claypool. Tucker complained of pain to the back but refused medical treatment. Tucker was cleaning off her glasses when her vehicle drifted across the center line into the path of the Carver vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
8:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 18, North Hoss Hill Road, west of North CR 850E, North Webster. Driver: Brandon K. Eber, 19, West SR 205, Columbia City. Eber failed to negotiate a curve colliding with a rock and a fence. Damage up to $2,500.
1:50 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 18, North CR 625W and West CR 900N, Nappanee. Driver: Jeanette A. Nissley, 47, Old Colony Road, Warsaw. Nissley complained of pain to the elbow/lower arm, but refused medical treatment. Nissley lost control of her vehicle going over a bump in the road and over corrected, going off the road and hitting an REMC pole. Damage up to $10,000.
8:44 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 17, West CR 700S, west of South CR 500W, Burket. Drivers: Trevor T. Neeley, 18, South CR 1150W, Mentone, and Jose J. Castillo, 44, North CR 175E, Warsaw. Neeley was passing another vehicle when he lost control of his vehicle hitting the Castillo vehicle head one. Castillo was cited for driving while suspended. Damage up to $25,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident:
5:51 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 18, East Main Street and North Maple Avenue, Warsaw. Drivers: Jack C. Volkers, 69, Fairlane Drive, Warsaw, and Brittany N. Blackburn, 29, North Parker Street, Warsaw. Volkers began to enter the intersection when he saw the Blackburn vehicle. Volkers stopped his vehicle in the intersection to avoid a collision but was struck by the Blackburn vehicle. Three juveniles passengers in Blackburn’s vehicle: Colette Blackburn, 10; Colter Blackburn, 6; Brixen Blackburn 6, complained of pain to the chest area from seat belt restraints. Their mother refused medical treatment at the scene. Damage up to $5,000.
