Meyer Arrested For Dealing Suboxone Strips
WARSAW — A Warsaw man has been arrested for selling suboxone strips. Suboxone is a prescription used to treat narcotic (opiate) addiction and may be habit forming.
Jacob William Meyer, 27, 3567 E. Birchwood Court, Warsaw, was arrested Monday morning, Feb. 15, and booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on a charge of dealing in a narcotic drug, a level 5 felony.
Warsaw Police filed court documents on Nov. 17, 2015, after Meyer sold four suboxone strips to an individual. The affidavit of probable cause states Meyer met with a potential buyer of the strips. When the two met, the buyer was told another individual would be bringing the suboxone strips.
The buyer was sold four individually wrapped packages containing four suboxone strips, at a cost of $40. The strips contained burprenorphine/naloxone a schedule III narcotic drug.
Meyer was held on $10,000 surety and $250 cash bond.
