WalletHub: Indiana 15th In Firearms Industry Dependence
INDIANA — A recent study has placed Indiana at number 15 for dependence on the firearms industry.
WalletHub recently looked at how each of the 50 states and the District of Columbia rank in terms of dependence on the firearms industry.
The study looked at a number of factors falling under three categories: the firearms industry, gun prevalence and gun politics. These included, but were not limited to, gun ownership, number of firearms industry-related jobs per capita, wages and benefits in firearms industry-related jobs and total firearms industry output per capita.
As far as individual categories, Indiana ranked second in NICS background checks per capita.
Coming in at number one overall was Idaho, ranking number two in the firearms industry category, number eight for gun prevalence and number four for gun politics. In last place, at number 51, Deleware ranked number 51 for firearms industry, 48 for gun prevalence and 51 for gun politics.
