Officers Respond To Elkhart Robbery

Elkhart — Elkhart County Sheriff’s Detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying suspects who were involved in a robbery that occurred earlier this morning, Thursday, Jan. 28, in the 22000 block of Pine Arbor Drive in Elkhart.
At approximately 5:12 a.m., the victim, a 36-year-old male, exited his home and was walking towards his parked vehicle. He was approached by suspects in an older rusty red pickup truck.
Two male suspects wearing hooded sweatshirts, jeans and black ski masks exited the vehicle and approached the victim. One of the suspects displayed a handgun and demanded money from him. The suspects took money and a bracelet from the victim and, after striking him, fled the area in the pickup truck.
The victim was transported to the hospital for complaints of pain to his shoulder and wrist.
