Constituents Meet With Banks, Ask Questions
WARSAW — A small group of constituents met Saturday morning, Jan. 23, at Warsaw Community Public Library to meet and greet Republian State Senator Jim Banks and to ask him their questions.
Banks plans to run for Indiana’s Third Congressional District.
Over coffee and donuts, Banks briefly addressed the group and talked about topics of national security and freedom of religion.
Questions centered around issues like the “Heartbeat Bill,” which would prohibit abortion of a fetus with a detectable heartbeat; the “Hobby Lobby Bill,” which addresses whether privately-owned businesses should provide for procedures like abortions for its employees; border control; and Syrian refugees.
