OMAHA, NEB. — A wounded warrior is giving back in Nebraska, taking on the winter weather.
Iraq war veteran, Justin Anderson, uses his off-road wheelchair to clear the sidewalks around his neighborhood in Omaha.
Last year he made some modifications, putting a snow blade on the chair.
He says it’s his way of giving back to a community that stood by him during the process of getting his leg amputated and during a fight with brain cancer.
“I don’t want parents and kids who want to go sledding to have to go traipsing through the snow and possibly hurt themselves,” Anderson said.
He says the work is gratifying and that lots of folks want to stop and take pictures with him and his unique wheelchair.
