Support Groups For Dementia Caregivers In Kosciusko County
WARSAW — Caring for those with Alzheimer’s or a related dementia can be a challenging as well as rewarding experience. Support groups are an opportunity for caregivers to receive disease education, learn coping strategies and tips from others who share a similar experience and vent frustration and concerns in a safe, confidential environment.
Free and open to the public, the following support groups are available in Kosciusko County. These groups are sponsored by Alzheimer’s and Dementia Services of Northern Indiana, a division of Real Services, a not-for-profit agency offering a variety of programs and services for seniors in our community for the past 50 years.
Support group meet at the following times:
- 7 p.m. the first Wednesday of each month, Miller’s Senior Living, 1634 S. County Farm Road, Warsaw, facilitated by Sydney Roy
- 1 p.m. the first Tuesday of each month, Seasons Adult Day Center, 1101 Husky Trail, Warsaw, Facilitated by Karen Kauffman
