Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
9:36 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 13, East CR 1050N and North CR 450E, Syracuse. Amber Francis Lemberg, 16, East CR 400N, Syracuse. Lemberg braked her vehicle suddenly to avoid hitting a deer. Her vehicle lost traction on the slick roadway, causing her to lose control. The vehicle went off the roadway and overturned, coming to rest on its top. lemberg suffered a small laceration to her hands but refused medical attention. Damage up to $5,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
5:51 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 13, West Winona Avenue and South Zimmer Road, Warsaw. Drivers: Rafael Garcia, 49, North CR 600E, Rochester, and Jeffery J. Beaverson, 61, Anchorage Road, Warsaw. Garcia’s vehicle sideswiped the Beaverson vehicle after it slid while turning a corner. Both cited for operating a vehicle without financial responsibility and failure to stop after an accident. Damage up to $10,000.
12:31 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 13, East Center Street and North Parker Street, Warsaw. Drivers: James K. McDairmant, 47, North Blue Heron Drive, Warsaw, and Reva E. Ivens, Reva E. Ivens, 25, East CR 500S, Warsaw. McDairmant’s vehicle struck the back of the Ivens vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
