Elkhart County To Host Exploring 4-H Event

ELKHART COUNTY — The Elkhart County 4-H program will have its third and final Discover 4-H event of the year at Concord Mall from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 9.
Every kindergartener through fifth-grader in Elkhart County is invited to attend. The purpose of this event is to introduce new families to the Elkhart County 4-H program.
At the event, 4-H volunteers will have displays promoting opportunities available in the 4-H program. It is also a time to meet and greet 4-H leaders and find more information about 4-H clubs. At our previous Discover 4-H event, there were tables representing several projects including; Media, Genealogy, Photography, Garden, Sewing, Mini 4-H and much more.
4-H enrollment is free for kindergarten, first- and second-graders. There is $15 State enrollment fee per child for third through twelfth graders. The 4-H online enrollment deadline is Friday, Jan. 15.
There will be paper copies of the 4-H enrollment form available at the Discover 4-H event for those who choose to enroll at the event. Those wishing to enroll their child in 4-H now can contact the Purdue Extension Elkhart County office at (574) 533-0554 or visit the following website.
