Yeo Paces Pilots To Road Win
ROCHESTER HILLS, MI – A huge first-half performance by Clay Yeo helped the Bethel College men’s basketball team to a 70-62 win at Rochester College on Tuesday.
Yeo, a former star at Triton High School, poured in 21 of his game-high 25 points in the opening half as the No. 7 Pilots topped the No. 21 hosts.
Yeo finished with 25 points to go with 13 rebounds as Bethel improved to 12-2 on the season. The junior guard also had four assists, two steals and two blocked shots in the win. Yeo shot 8-16 overall from the field, including 3-9 from 3-point range and was 6-9 from the free throw line.
Travis Smith netted 12 points for the Pilots, who led 37-32 at halftime. Luke Fisher finished with 10 points for the winners.
Angelo Griffis scored 19 points to lead Rochester.
Bethel hosts No. 1 Indiana Wesleyan on Saturday at 3 p.m. in Mishawaka in a huge Crossroads League contest. The Pilots are currently 2-1 in league play.
