REMC Reporting Power Outages Due To Winds And Ice
WARSAW — High winds and ice have caused power outages for roughly 1,700 Kosciusko REMC members scattered throughout the county. At least 10 utility poles are broken. Isolated areas may experience prolonged outages. KREMC crews are currently working to restore power as quickly and safely as possible.
Ice and wind are also causing lines to gallop, resulting in power blinks throughout the county.
Additional crews have been called in and will work throughout the night and into tomorrow.
KREMC reminds everyone to stay away from downed lines, and to contact the co-op immediately to report these issues. To report downed power lines call (574) 267-6331 or (800) 790-7362.
