Roller Dolls Offer Cheer To Community
WARSAW – Christmas With The Roller Dolls had another great turnout Sunday evening in their effort to raise food donations for Combined Community Services.
In its fifth year, a packed house with parents and children from across the region had the Lake City Roller Dolls, Fort Wayne Derby Brats, K-County Junior Rollers and Santa Claus greet them all. A van from Combined Community Services filled up quickly, allowing the Dolls to meet their expected yearly goal with a significant donation to the organization.
On Sunday, several Roller Dolls traveled to Syracuse to present gifts to a needy child in the community. The Roller Dolls, along with veterans, former skaters and anonymous donors pitched in to give a good Christmas to a needy family who otherwise would not be able to provide.
Also, last week Laura-Deal Decker presented a $1,000 check to Kosciusko Cancer care representing the proceeds from “Fight Like a Girl II” held in October, the second annual bout to raise funds to fight cancer.
