Milford Scene Featured On Bicentennial Stamp
MILFORD — As Indiana prepares to celebrate its bicentennial, a scene from rural Kosciusko County has been chosen to represent the state on a new postage stamp.
The Indiana Bicentennial stamp, a “forever” stamp set to release in 2016, features a sunset over a farm field outside Milford. Photographer Michael Matti was a Milford resident at the time and took the photo one day while driving down a gravel county road.
While Matti has been all over the world, the scene captured his attention and so, in turn, he captured it with his camera.
Inside Indiana Business reports that the stamp will be a one-ounce, First Class “forever” stamp. A dedication will take place during Indiana’s bicentennial year.
