WARSAW — Two Warsaw residents are behind bars after being arrested late last night, Wednesday, Dec. 2, in Pierceton.
Megan Leigh Slone, 26, of 425 Wexford Place, Warsaw, was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail for dealing in a narcotic drug, a level 5 felony; conspiring to commit a felony dealing in a narcotic drug, a level 5 felony; and dealing in a substance represented to be a controlled substance, a level 6 felony.
Cody Allen Hale, 27, of 425 Wexford Place, Warsaw, was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail for aiding, inducing or causing dealing in a narcotic drug, a level 5 felony, and aiding, inducing or causing dealing in a substance represented to be a controlled substance.
Court documents show that Slone had given authorities an address of 207 W. Catherine Street, Milford, and that Hale had given authorities an address of 5095 N. 925E, North Webster.
The probable cause filed in Kosciusko Circuit Court stated police, on May 13, made arrangements with an individual to purchase four Dilaudid pills (hydromorphone) from Megan Slone for $100 at West Haven Mobile Home Park.
Slone arrived at the meeting place in a vehicle driven by Hale. Once Slone met with the buyer in the buyer’s vehicle and delivered the Dilaudid pills, then had the buyer take her to another location to meet Hale.
The purchase was turned over to police, who confirmed the pills were Dilaudid.
Another purchase was arranged for the purchase of 20 Percocet in exchange for $140 at a Warsaw supermarket. Hale was observed driving the vehicle with Slone in the passenger seat. Slone spoke with the buyer regarding the number and frequency the pills are obtained. Slone received a phone call from Hale and informed him to contact their dealer, texting him the phone number.
Slone left the original buyer and met with Hill in front of the business and returned to the buyer’s vehicle, handing over the buy. Slone told the buyer, the dealer had met her in front of the business and handed her the items through a vehicle window.
The pills were turned over to police and later identified as acetaminophen, which is not a controlled substance. Slone was contacted by the buyer stating the pills were not Percocet. Slone stated she figured it out 20 minutes after the deal and had gone to the dealer’s residence and called the dealer until her phone died.
Both Slone and Hale are being held at the Kosciusko County Jail, with a $10,000 surety and $250 cash bond. Slone is also being held on no bond in another court matter for failure to appear.
