Santa, The Grinch And More At December First Friday
Today The Warsaw Breakfast Optimist met at the Kosciusko County Courthouse Square for the annual installation of Santa’s “house’ in downtown Warsaw. The tiny, red home will be alight this weekend for boys and girls both naughty and nice wishing to meet jolly old Saint Nicholas.
First Friday will take place this week on Friday, Dec. 4. The celebration will begin at 5 p.m. with events happening all evening long. A live nativity, as well as the Santa house, are sponsored by the morning Optimists. Carriage rides in exchange for a canned food item or toy for tots will be provided by Keybank.
Downtown merchants will also join in the seasonal cheer. Shops will host special sales and hot chocolate and cider will be outside to warm shoppers.
At 7 p.m., the fourth annual Twinkle Light Parade will commence down Center Street to Center Park with all kinds of special guests including Mr. and Mrs. Clause, visiting straight from the North Pole. Santa will be on hand to light up the park at 7:30.
Guests are warned to look out for the Grinch, who is rumored to be making a visit to the neighborhood. The Grinch might just show up at the Repurpose Lounge to share his side of the well-known Christmas story.
