Tickets On Sale For Indianapolis Children’s Choir

INDIANAPOLIS — Become a part of the Indianapolis Children’s Choir family during this holiday tradition, and witness the farewell season for Indianapolis Children’s Choir founder Henry Leck, who has had an impact on countless young musicians and the choral community at large for the past 30 years. In July, Leck announced his upcoming retirement.
The event will be held at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, 100 W. 86th St., Indianapolis.
“Angels Sing” will be held at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Dec. 18 and 19. Indianapolis Youth Chorale, Bella Voce, Cantantes Angeli and Bel Canto will be participating.
“Celebrate the Season” will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 19. Join the ICC’s younger ensembles and regional choirs for a fun matinee concert full of holiday favorites.
Participating choirs include Indianapolis Youth Chorale, Octavo, Treble, Boone County Children’s Choir, Carmel Children’s Choir, Fishers Children’s, Hendricks County Children’s Choir, Henry County Children’s Choir and Johnson County Children’s Choir.
Sounds of the Season will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 19. This will be an afternoon of music that will envelop you in the spirit of the holiday season. Cantantes Angeli, Bel Canto, Kantorei, Lyric and Chamber will be participating.

Currently in its 30th season, the Indianapolis Children’s Choir has grown to become one of the largest children’s choirs in the world. Founded by Artistic Director Henry Leck, the ICC serves more than 5,000 Central Indiana children from pre-school age through high school.
