FULTON – A fast start and a big game from Brayton Jellison carried host Caston past Lakeland Christian Academy 62-26 in the prep boys basketball opener for both teams Tuesday night.

The Comets raced to a 20-6 lead after the opening period and led 36-11 by halftime en route to the win.

Jellison canned 26 points to lead the way for the winners.

Jon Harmon netted eight points to pace LCA. Carter Twombly scored six points and Noah Twombly and Connor Blum each had four points for the Cougars.

LCA (0-1) plays at Bethany Christian Dec. 1. Caston (1-0) hosts Southwood Saturday night.
