Bryan H. Green Sr.
Bryan H. Green Sr., 84, Rochester, passed away at 4:09 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, 2015, at his residence.
He was born on Jan. 30, 1931, in Knox, the son of William Bryan Green Sr. and Edna A. (Burkett) Green. After high school, he served with the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. On July 1, 1967, in Argos, he married Betty Darlene Rains and she survives.
Mr. Green worked for Safeway Steel for over 28 years. He also worked for Paris Tool and Die and had worked as a painter. He was a Golden Age Eagle with the Eagles Lodge, a member of Disabled American Veterans and a member of Connection Pointe Church, Brownsburg. In his spare time he enjoyed archery, playing dice, fishing, hunting, bowling, horseshoes, camping and loved to make zucchini banana bread. He will be remembered fondly for his tall stories he loved to tell.
Survivors include his wife: Betty D. Green, Rochester; children: Michelle (Mike) Reinhart, Bruce Lake; Corey Wayne (Angela) Green, Argos; Bryan Hartley (Gwyn) Green Jr., Brownsburg; Jan (Denny) Stockberger, Rochester; stepson: Tom (fiancé Noel Keegan) MacLain, Twelve Mile; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; brothers: Larry (Ann) Green, Fla.; Dean Smith, Rochester; close family friends: Barb and James Rock, Rochester; Fritz Heinzmann, Rochester; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded ind eath by his parents; brother: William Grafton Green; and sister; Orla Mabel Joschko.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2015, at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
