Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, West Levi Lee Road, west of Edgewood Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Vanessa G. Brito, 18, East Wooster Road, Pierceton. Driver struck a deer. Damage up to $5,000
6:26 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, North SR 15, south of West CR 600N, Leesburg. Driver: Timothy J. Hoffer, 51, Stonebridge Road, Warsaw. Driver struck a deer. Damage up to $5,000.
7:25 a.m. Friday, Nov. 20, South SR 25 and South CR 550W, Mentone. Drivers: Scott E. Cochran, 33, West Center Street, Warsaw, and Sabrina A. Gotthan, 43, West SR 25, Mentone. Cochran stated his brakes failed causing him to fail to stop at the SR 25 and CR 550W intersection and strike into Gotthan’s vehicle. Cochran was transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital and Gotthan was air lifted to Lutheran Hospital to be treated for injuries. Damage up to $50,000.
7:16 a.m. Friday, Nov. 20, East Old Road 30, east of South CR 325E, Warsaw. Driver: Nicholas D. Myers, 35, West Lincolnway, Columbia City. Driver struck a deer. Damage up to $2,500.
North Webster
Officers with the North Webster Police Department investigated the following accidents:
7:07 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20, North SR 13, north of East CR 150N, North Webster. Driver: Angela Hathaway, 46, South CR 700E, North Manchester. Driver struck a deer. Damage up to $5,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
7:46 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20, 920 Anchorage Road, Warsaw. Driver: Demetrius S. Miller, 28, Anchorage Road, Warsaw. Miller attempted to move over for traffic at Shamrock Mobile Home Park and his tire became canted, causing him to sideswipe the rear bumper of a parked vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
6:13 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20, CR 300 and Tippy Downs Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Daniel J. Fulton, 47, West CR 200N, Warsaw. Driver struck a deer. Damage up to $10,000.
6:45 a.m. Friday, Nov. 20, South Lindberg and East Jefferson streets, Warsaw. Drivers: Harold R. Smith, 71, South SR 5-57, Pierceton, and Sherri E. Whitaker, 24, North Manchester. Smith struck into Whitaker’s vehicle at the Smith and Jefferson streets intersection causing Whitaker to strike into a NIPSCO power line that then fell onto six other vehicles parked at Dalton Foundry. The power line reportedly caused minor scratches and damages to the vehicles. No injuries were reported. Damage up to $5,000.
