New Siren Installed At Station 2
WARSAW — The new severe weather/tornado siren has been installed at Warsaw/Wayne Fire Station 2, East Center St. The installation took place this morning by a three-man crew with West Shore Services, Allendale, Mich.
The weather — windy conditions — didn’t cause any problems. The problems they experienced were the nearby electrical lines in the alley way and the fire departments radio tower. But the pole and new siren went in without any problems.
The system is expected to be up and running by Monday of next week. The battery back up system is ready to go to work, but the siren system will need to be programmed and electricity provided to the pole.
