WCS Board Approves Support, Administrative Raises
WARSAW — Warsaw Community School Corporation took a moment during their regular board meeting Monday, Nov. 16, to review support and administrative raises for approval.
Chief Financial Officer Kevin Scott addressed the board with information pertaining to the proposed raise for both support and administrative staff — which is in line with teacher raises.
“The Warsaw Board of School Trustees is pleased to announce the administrative and support staff salary raises for the 2015-2016 school year. While enrollment and state funding have stayed relatively flat for Warsaw Community Schools in 2015, all parties involved have actively and efficiently limited spending, thus creating a strong fiscal environment,” stated a release provided by the board Monday evening.
In September of 2015, the Warsaw Board of School Trustees approved the certified teacher contract averaging a 1.5 percent increase for all licensed teachers receiving an evaluation of effective or highly effective.
The board approved the 1.5 percent salary increase with a unanimous vote of 6-0.
