Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:

7:12 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 15, North Old SR 15, south of East CR 575N, Leesburg. Driver; Steven M. Shepherd, 45, East CR 450N, Leesburg. Hit deer. Damage up to $5,000.

5:45 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 15, West Shilling Road, west of South CR 600W, Mentone. Driver: Brenda Vanlaningham, 60, West Shilling Road, Mentone. Deer hit Vanlaningham’s vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.

2:51 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 15, SR 13N, north of CR 400N, North Webster. Driver: Thomas E. Conley, 46, East CR 400N, Leesburg. Hit deer. Damage up to $5,000.

12:08 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 15, South CR 925W and West CR 1250S, Akron. Driver: John M. Walsh, 19, South Dale Lane, Claypool. Walsh swerved to miss a deer when his vehicle went off the west side of the roadway and collided with a pole. Damage up to $2,500.

7:38 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, South County Farm Road, south of East CR 900S, Silver Lake. Driver: Brooke O. Helton, 22, North CR 700E, Roann. Hit deer. Damage up to $2,500.

5:18 a.m. Friday, Nov. 13, North Barbee Road, east of EMS B71 Lane, Warsaw. Driver: Joseph T. Feldman, 29, EMS B31 Lane, Warsaw. Feldman’s vehicle struck a pole. Damage up to $10,000.

Milford

Officers with the Milford Police Department investigated the following accident:

9:02 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, North SR 15 and Turkey Creek Drive, Milford. Driver: Herman Oetjen 78, Gunnison Drive, Indianapolis. Hit deer. Damage up to $2,500.

Warsaw

Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:

4:41 a.m. Monday, Nov. 16, Frontage Road, East of Eastlake Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Felicia V. Cleto, 20, Wexford Place, Warsaw. Hit deer. Damage up to $1,000.

11:43 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 15, West Market Street, Warsaw. Joyce E. Shepherd, South CR 275E, Warsaw, reported her vehicle was struck while parked. The other vehicle left the scene. A witness was able to give police a description and partial license plate to the vehicle that struck the vehicle while backing from a parking spot. Damage under $750.

12:57 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, North Detroit Street, south of Lyon Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Jaidan E. Coots, 19, William Drive, Winona Lake, and Rayf G. Gerber, 23, East CR 1300N, Syracuse. Coots’ vehicle struck the back of the Gerber vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.

12:49 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, Jalynn Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Carol Haldewang, 58, East 1000N, Syracuse, and Billy R. Hyden, 82, North Riverwood Rance Road, Warsaw. Haldewang was backing from a parking space and collided with the Hyden vehicle. After the accident, Hyden checked under the hood for possible damage when the hood fell on his arms, causing him to start bleeding. Lutheran EMS arrived and bandaged both arms. Damage up to $2,500.

7:17 a.m. Friday, Nov. 13, South Buffalo Street and West Center Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Ethan C. Horst, 18, East Main St., Warsaw, and David C. Hansen, 60, East Old Road 30, Warsaw. Horst turned left onto South Buffalo Street in front of the Hansen vehicle. Damage up to $25,000.
