Two Arrested On Drug Charges In Pierceton

Kosciusko County officers arrested two individuals yesterday in Pierceton on various drug charges.
Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Deputies, Pierceton Police and Kosciusko County Drug Task Force officers arrested Brad Lee Niles, Jr., 28, Syracuse, yesterday at approximately 3:30 p.m., and preliminarily charged him with felony possession of chemical reagent.
Also taken into custody at the same time was Kacynda Ione Northrup, 27, Leesburg. Northrup was arrested and preliminarily charged with felony dealing narcotics. Niles is currently being held on a $5,250 bond, while Northrup is being held on a $12,250 bond in the Kosciusko County Jail.
Kosciusko County DTF officers stated that an anonymous tip lead to the arrest of Niles and Northrup at the Speedway gas station in Pierceton. Officer located a one-pot method.
methamphetamine lab during the arrest, which subsequently led officer to location of an undetermined amount of heroin. Officers were also assisted at the scene by the Indiana State Police Clandestine Lab Team.
Sheriff Aaron Rovenstine stated that citizens are encouraged to report potential drug related activity in Kosciusko County to the Drug Task Force via the anonymous TIP line 574-372-2494.
The Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office advises that the defendant’s charge is merely an accusation and that the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
