IUSB Cagers Post Victories
SOUTH BEND – The IUSB men’s and women’s basketball teams each picked up home wins over IU-Northwest Wednesday night.
The men’s team topped the guests 81-74 in the nightcap of the twin bill.
Riley Stichter, a Wawasee High School graduate, had eight points and six rebounds in the win for the Titans. Former Warsaw standout Rashaan Jackson had one point and three rebounds for IUSB.
Javonte Young led IUSB with 20 points.
IUSB, now 3-1, is off until playing at Wright State University-Lake on Nov. 14 at 1 p.m.
The IUSB women opened play Wednesday night by posting a 72-60 victory.
The women’s squad outscored their guests 42-22 over the final two quarters of play for the win.
KiLee Knafel, who played at Wawasee High School, had two points for IUSB. Courtney Smith led the winners with 17 points.
The IUSB women, now 2-1 on the season, hosts Great Lakes Christian College on Saturday at 1 p.m.
