Nancy C. Biever
Nancy C. Biever, 81, Bremen, formerly of Nappanee, died at 10:50 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 1, 2015, at Bremen Community Hospital after a short illness.
She was born Nov. 24, 1933, in North Dakota to Samuel and Zenna Warner. On Sept. 3, 1951, she married Richard J. Biever in Leeds, North Dakota. He preceded in death Nov. 1, 2011. Mrs. Biever was a graduate of Leeds High School in North Dakota. She has lived in Nappanee since 1951. Mrs. Biever was an LPN at Bremen Hospital for many years. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Bremen. She had been active in the Nappanee Civic Theatre for many years. Her work at Bremen Hospital was very important to her.
Surviving are her children: Nanette (Larry) Fredericks; Julie (Egbert) Dijkstra, both of Nappanee; Joan (Peter Kirby) Biever, San Antonio, Texas; Richard (Heidi) Biever, State College, Pa.; grandchildren: Ashley (Wade) Hively; Alex Montgomery, both of Columbus, Ohio; Ryan (Angie) Mattern, Wakarusa; Ben and Kyle Dijkstra, Nappanee; Marshall; Madeline; and Ovia Biever, State College, Pa.; and great-grandchildren: Hannah and Natalie Mattern; and a great-grandchild to be born in December. She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter: Cynthia Montgomery; and a grandson: Nicholas Arone.
Family and friends may call from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, at Thompson-Lengacher and Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, with memorial services beginning at 3 p.m. Rev. Roger Rohde, of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, will officiate. Inurment will be in Union Center Cemetery.
