FORT WAYNE — It’s almost Halloween and for a lot of people, it’s time to find the right costume and to put the final touches together before heading out for a party or Trick-or-Treat.

So what’s the most popular costume choices for those hoping to dress up this weekend and get their favorite candy?

Google has the answer. The company launched a website called Frightgeist this week, that lists the top trending Halloween costumes by location. You can scroll over states and read a drop down list of costumes and characters and themes, showing some of the most popular Google searches by region.

The most popular costume searches in the Fort Wayne region are: Harley Quinn, Minnie Mouse, Katniss Everdeen, clown and grey wolf.

Harley Quinn is the most commonly searched costume and Frightgeist even gives you the option of finding a costume or character a little less common, the better to help searchers find a truly original costume.

In Indianapolis the top costumes include Batman, superhero, Star Wars, Minnie Mouse and PAW Patrol.

Frightgeist also says Marilyn Monroe is an unusually popular costume in Indianapolis.

The top five nationally trending costumes include Harley Quinn, Star Wars, superhero, pirate and Batman.
