Mary A. Cooper
Mary A. Cooper, 93, of Wabash, passed away at 11 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 25, 2015, at her home. She was born to the late Charles and Edna (Scott) Keafauver on Oct. 11, 1922, in Marion.
Mary married George D. “Bunk” Cooper on Jan. 5, 1940, he passed away on Nov. 3, 1989. She retired from Magnetics of Wabash, in 1989. She was a member of Church of Christ at Wabash. Also a member of Wabash Magnetics Retirement Club. Mary enjoyed crocheting and crossword puzzles.
She is survived by two sons: Dale (Carol) Cooper, Lagro; and George Lloyd (Dee) Cooper, Marion; daughter: Alice Longfellow, Wabash; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a great-grandson and sister.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, at McDonald Funeral Home, Wabash, with George Fahl officiating. Burial will follow at Friends Cemetery in Wabash. Preferred memorials are directed to Church of Christ at Wabash, Wabash.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 9-11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. There will be a memorial service in Mary’s memory in California given by her grandson that is a Pastor.
