The California-based band has played a Super Bowl halftime show and achieved fame for bringing about the swing revival. Scotty Morris and Kurt Sodergren founded the group in the early 1990s, and they’ve produced nine studio albums, provided the theme song for TV’s “3rd Rock from the Sun,” and perform frequently on late-night shows and at Disney World.
The jazz group takes inspiration from the creators of this uniquely American art form and showcases its original music in high-energy shows. Voodoo Daddy’s December date at The Lerner will feature cuts from their acclaimed Christmas album, as well.
Friends of The Lerner, the promoter of the event, is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to expanding entertainment options at the theatre and throughout downtown Elkhart.
