Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
5:06 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 18, North CR 700E, south of East CR 500N, North Webster. Driver: Austin W. Long, 21, East CR 800N, North Webster. Long was located at his home 13 hours after the accident, stating he fell asleep while driving, went off the road and hit a tree. Cited for leaving the scene of a property damage accident. Damage up to $10,000.
3:16 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, East CR 500N and North CR 900E, North Webster. Driver: James A. Pancake, 22, East CR 500N, North Webster. Pancake reported around noon Oct. 15, his vehicle went off the road, hitting a county highway sign. Damage up to $5,000.
6:38 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, South SR 15, west of South CR 550W, Warsaw. Driver: Britani A. Ogan, 22, South SR 25, Mentone, Hit deer. Damage up to $2,500.
North Webster
Officers with the North Webster Police Department investigated the following accident:
12:52 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18, South Main Street, east of SR 13N, North Webster. Drivers: Gerald D. Dausman, 87, East CR 450N, Leesburg, and Alisha N. Shaske, 24, EMS W30 Lane, North Webster. Dausman was backing from a parking space and failed to see the Shaske vehicle behind him. Damage up to $1,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
8:27 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18, South Buffalo Street, south of East Prairie Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Erin L. Sandberg, 17, East Winona Beach Drive, Warsaw; Andrea S. Rodriguez, 53, South Briarwood Drive, Warsaw; and Brian M. Houtz, 25, West Catalpa Lane, Warsaw. Sandberg who was using her cell phone to change music failed to see the stopped Rodriguez vehicle, hitting the back of the Rodriguez vehicle, which in turn caused the Rodriquez vehicle to hit the back of the Houtz vehicle. Abigail L. Rodriguez, 16, South Briarwood Drive, Warsaw, complained of pain to the neck, and would seek medical treatment on her own. Damage up to $25,000.
1:33 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18, Argonne Road and East Durbin Street, Warsaw. Drivers: John M. McCarty, 18, North Lakeside Drive, Madison, and Gary D. Jenkins, 49, Seattle Slew Drive, Noblesville. McCarty’s vehicle struck the back of the Jenkins vehicle, then went off the road and into a fence/concrete wall, owned by Warsaw Chemical, Argonne Road, Warsaw. Damage up to $25,000.
11:36 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 18, East Market Street, Warsaw. The unnamed owner of a vehicle reported she parked her vehicle in the Cozy Cottage parking lot and after arriving home she noticed her vehicle was damaged. Damage up to $2,500.
5:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16, South Lake Street and West Winona Avenue, Warsaw. Drivers: Maria E. Denlinger, 22, East CR 350N, Warsaw, and William E. Bradley, 44, Westcreek Drive, Warsaw. Denlinger was attempting to go north on Lake Street, from the Marsh parking lot, in backed up traffic, started to cross the roadway and struck the Bradley vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
