Arnold E. Cly Jr.
Arnold E. Cly Jr., 70, of LaFontaine, passed away at 3:47 p.m. Monday, Oct. 12, 2015, at his home. He was born to the late Arnold E. and Guinevere (Hinshaw) Cly on Feb. 4, 1945 at Dalhart, Texas.
Arnold married Carol Anne Campbell on June 26, 1965, she survives. He was an engineer for Honeywell, then U.S. Gypsum plant manager and he retired from Celtox. He was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church in Wabash. Arnold loved corvettes, I.U. and da Bears, but most of all his family. He was an engineer by trade but a farmer at Heart.
Along with his wife: Carol, he is also survived by a son: Arnold E. “Chip” (Melissa) Cly III, Marion; daughters: Beth Anne (Scott) Givens, Wabash; Cristi (Steve) Spilker, Fort Wayne; Annie (Joe) Seidel, Clemmons, N.C.; grandchildren: Cami Anne (Eric) Elasser, Greenfield; Ryan Givens, Wabash; Victoria Givens, Wabash; Megan Cly, Marion; Tristin Spilker, Fort Wayne; Sydney Spilker, Fort Wayne; Eliya Seidel, Clemmons, N.C.; and Adaya Seidel, Clemmons, N.C.; sister: Teri (Tim) Gates, Bedford. He was preceded in death by a sister: Susan Kendall.
Mass of a Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 16, at St. Bernard Catholic Church, Wabash, with Father Sextus Don officiating. Preferred memorials are directed to St. Bernard Catholic Church.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 2-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, at McDonald Funeral Home, LaFontaine Chapel, LaFontaine, with Rosary beginning at 7:30 p.m. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.mcdonaldfunerals.com
