WARSAW — A Syracuse man, upset his former girl friend found someone else, broke into her house and assaulted her. She suffered a fracture to her left eye socket.
Philip Michael Tinkey, 27, 8884 E. Circle Drive North, Syracuse, was arrested Friday evening, Oct. 9, on charges of possession of marijuana and a warrant for burglary, level 4 felony, and battery causing serious bodily injury, a level 5 felony. He was held on $15,000 surety bond and $850 cash bond.
Court documents, filed in Kosciusko Superior Court 1 on Sept. 22, states on Aug. 21, Lorie Parrett met with police. Parrett was suffering from a black, blue, bloody and swollen shut left eye. She told police Tinkey came into her residence without permission and/or consent, entered her bedroom and placed his hand over her mouth, punching her four times before leaving the residence on a blue moped.
Another individual at the residence, sleeping on the couch, reported hearing Parrett crying and saw Tinkey come out of the bedroom. The individual told Tinkey he would be calling police.
Police attempted to make contact with Tinkey going to his residence where in the area they found a blue quarter panel for a moped in the middle of the road. Police located Tinkey on Aug. 24 who told police Parrett was his former girl friend and had seen her on Aug. 20, she was walking down the street holding hands with another male, making him angry.
Police questioned Tinkey about the moped quarter panel, which he stated he lost it two months ago.
