Picture Perfect Day For Annual Festival
SYRACUSE — A beautiful fall day with temperatures in the low 60s, sunshine and a clear blue sky marked the annual Syracuse Fall Harvest Festival. The festival was held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, at Lakeside Park in conjunction with the last Syracuse Artisans and Farmers Market of the year.
There were several vendors set up selling food, craft items, holiday decorations and much more. Heartland Country Cloggers, Backyard Brass and the Guitar Banjo Band entertained the crowd with music and clogging. Family activities included hayrides and the mini pig races offered by Animal-Grams.
Kids activities included the performances of clowns Pipsqueak and Clarabelle, a petting zoo, pumpkin decorating and games, pony rides and face painting. Grace Lutheran Church of Syracuse helped with the pumpkin decorating and sold food. Syracuse Lions Club sold Spanish hot dogs and Vineyard Community Church passed out free coffee.
