Toastmaster’s Honor Five-Year Member
By MICHELLE WEIDENBENNER,
VP of Public Relations
Congratulations to Steve Koontz, a five-year member of Warsaw’s Noon Toastmaster’s club, for achieving the Advanced Communicator Bronze Award.
To achieve this award, Steve gave 20 speeches—five from the Competent Communicator Manual, five from the Entertaining Speaker Manual and five speeches from the Storytelling Manual.
Toastmasters International is a nonprofit educational organization that operates clubs worldwide for the purpose of helping members improve their communication, public speaking and leadership skills.
The Advanced Communication Manuals contain 75 varied speech projects. Members have the opportunity to work on all these projects and earn awards. The manuals teach speakers the tools that will help them handle a variety of speaking situations, many of which they may encounter in their personal and professional life.
