One More Day Before Fall Family Fun
WARSAW — Warsaw Parks and Recreation’s Free Fall Family Fun is just a day away so gear up for a fun evening.
The event will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9, at Lucerne Park, North Park Avenue.
Goody bags will be given to the first 300 children to arrive at the event and tractor pulled hay rides will be available throughout the evening.
Live animals will be on display at the Fall Family Fun, brought by Warsaw High School FFA members.
Visit cabin No. 1 to see the live display of bats and educational speakers. Then visit the live animals in front of the cabin.
Then travel over to cabin No. 2 at 6:30 p.m. or come back at 7:15 p.m. for free library stories and cookies.
Participate in free crafts in cabins No. 3 and No. 4 and outside of cabin No. 4 there will be ghost bowling with prizes.
Marshmallow roasting will take place at the camp fire down by the lake with chocolates and graham crackers to make s’mores.
Make sure to find the jar of candy corn and guess how many candy corns are in the jar, to win the jar and candy. The winner will be announced at 7:45 p.m.
Don’t forget to walk around the paths at the park to take a look at the 20 hand carved pumpkins, lining the Lucerne Park walk way. Drawings will be held at 8 p.m. to win each of the hand carved pumpkins.
