Coroner Releases Victims Names
OCONEE COUNTY, SC — The Oconee County Coroner has released the names of the four people killed in a plane crash Friday, which includes a father and son. Coroner Karl Addis says the four were heading to Pickens County to attend the Clemson/Notre Dame Football game.
The four have been identified as 71 year old Charles D. Smith, who was the pilot, 44-year-old Scott A. Smith, 54-year-old Tony L. Elliott and 51-year-old Scott D. Bibler. All were from Warsaw.
Addis says the single engine Piper Saratoga left Warsaw, midday Friday and was scheduled to land at the Oconee County Airport.
