KCH Is Gold Sponsor Of CCF
WARSAW — Kirk Ray, new chief executive officer, for The Lutheran Health Network/KCH, presented a check to Pat Ellis, corporate fundraising committee for the Cancer Care Fund of Kosciusko County.
KCH will be a Gold Sponsor of the Cancer Care Fund in 2015. The CCF raises money to directly assist cancer patients in Kosciusko County with the financial burdens of their cancer diagnosis and treatment.
The CCF volunteers organize various events throughout the year … The Passion for Fashion, Cocktails for Cancer, the Steve Dodds’ Golf Fundraiser, the Gala and Auction and the upcoming Lutheran Health Network KCH Freaky 5K Run/Walk on Halloween morning.
“What is unique about the CCF, is that 100 percent of all net funds raised are used to financially assist cancer patients and their families, right here in our county. The K21 Health Foundation administers our fund at no cost, which means more funds go to our friends and neighbors that are in need,” Ellis said. “And to have The Lutheran Health Network/KCH get behind our cause and be a Gold Sponsor is a big boost to our fundraising efforts.”
There are several ways the public can become involved in the CCF; as a participant in the run/walk, a volunteer for any of the events or make a direct donation to the Cancer Care Fund. Participants in the 5K Run/Walk can go online to one of the following sites for a link to pre-register. All participants that pre-register will get a souvenir T-shirt: www.runsignup.com, www.runkra.com, www.k21foundation.org, or Cancer Care Fund KC Facebook page.
Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. at the K21 Health Pavilion, 1515 Provident Court, Warsaw. There will be a brief program at 9 a.m. and the race/walk will begin at 9:30 a.m. sharp. The race will be chip timed by the Kosciusko Runner’s Association.
