Haunted Fort Wayne Tours Begin This Weekend
FORT WAYNE — Those who love history and being spooked are in luck. There are several haunted walking and bus tours taking place this weekend in downtown Fort Wayne that are sure to intrigue and scare.
Haunted Walking Tours
This is no ordinary walking tour. Participants will tour downtown Fort Wayne and hear about its dark, bloody past filled with murder, hangings and feuds. This year’s tours are filled with some new stories never told before, as well as some favorites from years past.
This tour may not be suitable for all ages. Tours leave at 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, from the Fort Wayne Visitors Center and every hour, on the hour, from 6-10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, at the Indiana Hotel lobby during Downton Fright Night.
Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for kids ages 6-17 and free for ages 5 and younger.
The Darker Side of West Central
The West Central Historic District is full of creepy tales of ghosts, grave robbers and death. This tour may not be suitable for all ages.
Tours depart at 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, and Saturday, Oct. 24, from the parking lot of the USF Performing Arts Center. Tickets are$10 for adults, $5 for kids ages 6-17 and free for kids ages 5 and younger.
Haunted Sites Bus Tours
Three spooky bus tours usher visitors through historic sites with tales of terror that cloud the city’s night. These tours leave at 6 p.m., 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. Saturday Oct. 17, from the Indiana hotel lobby during Downtown Fright Night.
Tickets for the bus tours are $15 fir adults and $10 for ages 5-17.
