Two Injured In Boating Accident, One Arrested
NORTH WEBSTER — Two people were transported to hospitals and one person was arrested following a boating accident at 2 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 27, on Lake Tippecanoe.
According to Jonathon Boyd, Indiana Conservation Officer, the only information available at this time is that two people were transported following the accident. One individual was airlifted for a possible amputation of a leg, the other individual suffered head injuries.
David Anthony Vie, 39, 11411 Cabriolet Run, Fort Wayne, has been arrested for operating a motorboat while intoxicated causing serious bodily injury and refusal to submit to a chemical test. Bond has been set at $5,000 surety and $250 cash.
