CHICAGO — Fresh off the success of their September live entertainment and dining events, Renaissance Chicago Downtown Hotel, 1 W. Wacker Drive, continues to impress with an array of unique happenings throughout October.

Showcasing vibrant Chicago talent and offering a twist on typical social hours, Renaissance’s weekly events instill a sense of excitement and spark a love with the city’s bustling nightlife and endless entertainment. Entry is complimentary, with food and beverage available for purchase.

As the MLB World Series approaches, Renaissance Chicago Downtown Hotel knows that it’s time to root root root for the Cubbies and hope that 2015 is the year they break the curse. To celebrate, curse the curse at Staytion Bar with the Billy Goat Curse Party from 6-10 p.m. Monday, Oct. 5, and enjoy bites from none other than the famous Billy Goat Tavern.

Renaissance will present the best of sweet, salty and savory at theTaste of Staytion, taking place in the hotel’s pedway from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15. Renaissance invites guests to indulge in mini cinnamon buns, house made chips and short rib and grits, perfectly paired with samples of fall cider rum punch. The event will feature a live acoustic set with local artist Seth Bradley.

Renaissance joins forces with the Chicago Loop Alliance for Activate at Staytion on Friday, Oct. 23. Guests who present their Activate wristband during or after the Chicago Loop Alliance’s Activate Program will receive half-off appetizers from 5-11 p.m.

Dance the night away and celebrate The Day of the Dead at Renaissance Chicago Downtown Hotel’s Dia De Los Muertos on Saturday, Oct. 31 from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. Guests are encouraged to channel their inner Latino/a on the dance floor with Latin music, libations, and of course, dessert.

In addition to the exciting one-night events, Renaissance entertains guests all month long with several ongoing dining and entertainment series. Staytion Bar Social Hour kicks off Thursday, October 1 and continues every Monday through Thursday from 5-7 p.m. with a halftime break at 6 p.m. for Renaissance’s Daily Bar Ritual, as well as every Friday from 4-7 p.m. throughout the month. Drink specials will feature $5 beers, $6 wines and $7 calls.

It’s always Wine O’clock at Renaissance Chicago Downtown Hotel on Wednesdays. Take a mid-week breather with Wine O’clock Wednesdays at the Mixology Station. Cheers to $6 glasses of select wines all day.

Celebrate a successful week every Saturday night with beats from Renaissance’s resident house DJ, DJ .WAV. Soak up the in-house club atmosphere in the Artist Studio from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m., featuring the latest tracks from one of the hottest DJs in town.
