WARSAW — The Bowen Center and the Lakes Area Autism Network have announced several Autism-related events for the second half of 2015.
On Oct. 8, a parent support group meeting will be conducted by staff of the Indiana Resource Center for Autism from 6-8 p.m. in the Gateway Education Center, 201 N. Union Street, Warsaw. The speaker for the evening will be Barb Fogarty, MS. The topic will be supporting social skills and positive relationships in all children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
On Nov. 7, the Run For Autism will be held at Wawasee High School, 1 Warrior Path No. 2, Syracuse, with a 5K run and a one mile fun run/walk. The 5K begins at 9 a.m. followed by the fun run at 9:30 a.m. The fee for the 5K is $15 for pre-registered participants and $20 the day of the race. The fee for a family of up to five is $50 pre-registered and $60 day of the race. The fun run fee is $10 pre-registered and $15 the day of the race.
